Server reboot
UAC2 main server was rebooted at 20:35 CET 24.jun.2010 due to vast performance issues and it came online around 20:48 again.
All players using UAC at the time might have experienced screen loss and disconencts.

Hello guys, I bet you had few issues with your files, that is because our file storage was full. There were milions of undeleted old files and as you read this the issue is probalby already resolved.
You might want to reupload your screenshots, here is a small tutorial how to do it if you dont already know tutorial
[Edit 18.jun.2010 @ 9:15] : But dont worry, even when the screens were not uploaded, detections were 100% accurate as usualy, except we will not be able to use back track for those files.
Now some other news, this month will be released new version of UAC which will have more advanced detection methods mainly for SWAT4 game and few minor adjustments in the interface to make it more user friendly.

If you had used xfire features of UAC2 please let us know at the suggestions forum pages, but from what we know, players did not even know the feature was there and by removing this feature UAC2 will gain more stability.

We hit a rather large spike in traffic when releasing the latest update for UAC2. Unfortunately our file server has gone down for the next 2 hours and will be available again at 00:00 CET.
Currently file uploads and downloads will be affected. We are also aware that UAC2 is taking a long time to update, this has been compounded by the outage. When our file server goes online again all you will need to do is reupload your screenshots.

We are resolving the issue right now, after it is fixed you can just REUPLOAD the screens, they are located in [UAC INSTALL DIR]\aftermatch\[MATCH ID] , you can upload them in SCREENS section within UAC2 software, using button on upper left UPLOAD SCREENS (the one with green arrow :) )

Here at UAC2 we have been working for this past year incredibly hard to provide you guys with a service for free that meets your high demands in the fight against cheaters.

New version available
Hi players, this new version contains fix for the not fully marked screens (only first is marked and not the other), if it works only time will tell. But under my opinion we will know in 1-2 days.
There was some issues with "inactive" players in player list, that is why the session stay alive time was extended to avoid this issues.
For those who had the bad luck and have damaged their OS somehow there is new message for them that will tell them what to do.
And support for +1 game is available now in the installation, it is Ghost Recon.

new version has improved BackTrack system, so the cheaters list will be filled with cheaters from this and previous month. We expect that the script will finish the search in few hours, so check later for the full listing. We will try to post link for the list of the cheaters. But for now you can use standard Cheaters link. Most cheaters were at COD4, COD2 and COD MW2 games.
Next, bug was fixed when the online player list was not seen when UAC was in EASY mode.

Hello players,
since there are so many source codes of cheats available and some cheaters use MS Visual Studio to hide them, which we had detected in 257 scans of 9 players, these players will be soon in cheaters list once all the scans will be inspected.
UAC2 v2.34 will not allow MS VS to run in time of play and UAC2 use, this will reduce the number of cheaters using the available source codes.
The new release features also support of 1minute scans for special purposes.

Hello,
This new version contains mainly SAFE mode for Vista users or any users which have some issues starting UAC2.
The launcher was modified so UAC will start in safe mode, it means some features are disabled like XFIRE support and other only aditional non essencial functions. The launcher is located in start menu under Universal Anticheat 2 > Tools , or you can go to UAC2 installation dir and run start_uac.exe
Also automatic update of new added games is working again so every time UAC2 will support new game, it will download automaticaly.
[EDIT 27.apr.2010]: v2.33 contains only bugfix for back-track report system.

Don't worry, you will not need any web cams :)
The application was easy to setup for users who used previous versions or had seen tutorials on pages even when complete guide is included, but still we get questions how to setup UAC, where can I find match id etc, for this reason a wizard was added to UAC2. It can be disabled in options menu !
Also there were done few user friendly changes, security updates and new skins.

Screen interval change!
Hello admins and players, the screen interval for all games that have 3minutes will be changed to 4 and 5 depending on game type. This will be done because of 2 reasons.
1) many complains about lag on slow computers
2) large overload of our internal database
By reducing the time these two main issues will be resolved. This new policy will be used in next update of whole UAC2 to v2.27.

New version was released, there were fixed few memory leaks so UAC2 will not take so much ram as before, fixed that annoying multiple message box when back-track system detects cheat in older screens. Players of CS2D will have 50% shorter scan because OGV loop was also fixed. Also there were few internal changes of update, def file delivery etc. This will allow us to release updates much more often.

Hello all, new version of UAC2 was released today, so what is new?
We had fixed "unable to download" issue, which was caused by user having wrong year (less then 2010) set on his computer, now it will work with any year setting. Also multiple download of files was fixed and it is working again. Since there are users with slower PC's out there, we had added 45 seconds delay of scaning for users with single core CPU so they can connect to game servers without timeouts.
There was added new cheat type detection and there were also some minor tweaks and changes which you probably do not notice but may improve the stability.
We are sorry that "manual scan" was not included in this version, but it needs some more testing, you may expect it around end of this month.

Hello players, this new version features fixes for lots of issues that you had reported in our forums like non saving language settings, loosing screens (after 7-8 scans) , also scaning speed was improved for PC's with more then 1 CPU core.
With this changes there were also other cosmetic changes mainly in screen section, and the detection of small active windows (under 640x480).
And yes we had not not forgot the BSI (black screen issue) and we still search for a way to fix it.
Database Purges
We have identified that there is a slight slow down in our performance due to the amount of screenshot records that have been created.
I have redesigned the internal structure of our server to better cope with the large amount of files being tracked and used, however there is a lot of internal server changes that need to be made first before we can go live with this, the release scope for this is weeks away.
In the mean time for server performance we have purged all screenshot records that were taken before 1 December 2009, this leaves December and 2010 screenshot records in our database only.
This will result in less screenshot records in the user profiles and in the matchID parts of our site. If you need access to the records again please contact us on our forums with a matchID/user and we can make the details available again.

Hi all, new version of UAC2 will fix strange match id bug that has blocked uploading of screens when match id was changed after game. Also there is work in progress that will resolve privacy issues, screens that will be less then 640x480 (which is minimal 3D screen size) will be replaced with small message window.This will eliminate large portion of personal items, windows , chatwindows from screenshots, but not all of them.
Also there were several minor fixes.

Hello, I am happy to announce that our hosting upgrade was fully successfull.
We were able to make things for you so smooth that nobody will even notice the change of hosting, all files are available and live.
The changes list is vast, but the main point is that these changes will improve your gameplay experience mainly for users who have slow connections.
New games are supported : R6: RS, MOH:SH, SniperElite and more will come in near future.
As we recieve a lot of feedback in the forums we had implemented fixes for several issues but not for all of them, we still work on the black/grey screen issues. Only time will tell how many of the issues were resolved by changing the upload system.

Storage Space Changes
As mentioned in our previous news post we will be extending our storage space to 750GB.
In order for us to achieve this increase in storage space we will be moving our file storage to a new server. We have put in some temporary changes and new procedures in order to make the switch over as pain free as possible. You should not see or notice any difference, if you do run into any issues with screenshot uploads or downloads please let us know as soon as possible.
What else is in v2.20
We will also be changing our screenshot upload procedure. After much debate we will now remove the "preview" screenshot being uploaded while UAC2 is actively running. This will hopefully remove all issues with users experiencing ping and connection issues during UAC2's usage.
Once we are sure this is the way forward there will be a lot more future optimisations as we remove and re-optimise UAC2 and our servers.

There was no news in longer time so I will give you some update on our work.
1) we will extend our space (+750gb) thus the screens can stay longer on our servers
2) support of "id Tech 3" engine based games (scaning for PK3 files)
3) new games support : RogueSpear, MOH: SH and more.
4) extended admin section in application, and few fixes.
5) update: we will eliminate 90% of internet related lag while play (in v2.20)
I guess there will be more stuff available but right now these will be available for sure.

Since the UAC2 is used in more and more leagues, there are more and more requests for functions from admins & users.
So what major stuff is new in v2.15 ?
Finaly there was fixed bug that made the upload speed limiter not working, if you had lags in time of upload and data transfer then v2.15 will solve your issue.

Also added extended log system that will allow more detailed investigation in case of crash of the application.

This post will sumarize the changes in version 2.05-2.06.
The new version contains functional automatic system for lost passwords.
There is also included fix for error 7410 which might reduce the number of errors of this type. Also exception error handler was inserted in to finalization process so there is more information available on the possible error in this area. Strange that nobody contacted us and informed about this issue sooner, we thought that it is only local issue.

Hello all, today around 16:35 CET was released new version which will solve many issues and has few changes in def file update system.
So what have we new / changed ?
+1 cheat is now detected for game COD1, LogOff error was fixed for good, you will have less lag and executable file is lot smaller so it will start faster, extended error reports for some error messages and few grapical and user friendly glitches were fixed.

Hi all, today we have released new version of UAC2 , which contains few bug fixes and many speedups for slower single core computers.
What is next ?
First we will collect feedback on this new version and we will react on it and change / add features as requested.

Hey all, today was released new version of Swat4 def file, which contains +1 cheat detection. You have to download it manualy download here
The update was urgent, so it has to be downloaded manualy, old definition file will not work.
Later this month will be realeased UAC2 v2.00 , which will contain many bug fixes and aditional speedups for computers with slow single core CPU also with new versions of the definition files for all games.
One last thing, we are watching all the flaged screens and many of you have flaged this one : VIEW I want to point out that this is not a cheat, the screenshot was taken in time when full graphics was not rendered, it happens from time to time. More info on this issue here at our forums

30.sep.09 was released UAC2 v1.99 which conains large speedups and Elite Force (v1.20 and 1.37) support. Later this month there will be even more speedups which will not work for everyone but i expect to be 5 to 20% more faster.
Also trace of error "Main Exception error 74" (total freez) was extended so we can hunt down the exact moment and reason for this error.

We did some hard work within this few weeks and made all major features functional like the flag system and protection against fake DEF files, also there is some large user activity around UAC2, logicaly there are also new issues to deal with, support on forum and emails, on ICQ etc.
The point is that we listen to you and we know what you wish for and what you need, so the next major update 1.90 will contain large speed ups for slow computers. Also COD1 DEF file will be upgrated so the scan will be much faster.
Get ready for MOHAA support which will be available at our forums this week before release of new version and also at the release of v1.90.

Just a quick note from me, I am currently in the process of installing the new systems into the servers. This will be a drawn out process as I am changing from older designs and procedures to the new stuff. I am attempting to keep UAC2 active the entire time of this update.
The update procedure will go like this:
- Update 1 to servers (completed @ 00:16 GMT).
- Update 2 to servers (completed @ 18:28 GMT).
- Full system test (Partial test completed).
- 1.80 Software Update (completed @ 18:40GMT).
- Full system test (Completed @ 19:24 GMT) some bugs discovered and resolved.
- Update 3 to server (Completed @ 23:40 GMT).
- New features test (Completed @ 23:59 GMT) - no bugs or issues.
There was limited outage during our update to v1.80. My records indicate we lost 3 screenshots, 1 of which was my test screenshots. The update should have been very smooth users should not have noticed any issues. Full system tests have been performed and the results are good, if you have any bugs or problems, please raise them in the normal manner (via our Forums).

End of BETA next update?
Hello, in this last week there was update v1.75 which has reverted the update process to the old fashion way, why ?
It is because there were many issues with the updater on the user side and also admin side. Update of DEF files was altered so it will not cause errors after prompted new version.
There is another important thing, since there is no certification process currently present (it will be after update 1.80) , be aware of FAKE def files used by some players !
This files can be used for testing or "cheating" !
Always check legitimacy of DEF files on the UAC2 pages.

That is why the certification process will be used, sure it will slow down the application of the def file in a league but it will ensure the legitimacy of the file. After the cert. system will be operational we will also end BETA testing.

A few updates for you guys.
First off all, if you are one of the lucky one's that have had virus warnings regarding start_uac.exe, please have a read of our announcement on the forums.
Second of all, there were few internal page changes, you will notice the page URLs actually mean something now. This will come in handy for the future and for an users trying to link back to us, for example leagues & clans.
Next up ?
Yet again another week of testing and development of certification system read more on the forums.
We will also start to bring into play the extended user features within the website, for example processing error reports, detailed admin lookups for matches and cheaters, manual file control. Once these have been tested we will be looking for people looking to help us where ever possible, more to come on that topic.

This week there was only major update to v1.70 which has more error log informations then the previous version. Shortly this week there will be v1.75 released which will contain even more error loging. (there is just so much space to expand to in the log/error report system) Finaly this will help you, the users.
For the web masters and league admins, hurry up with testing of DEF files, because from v1.80 all DEF files must go thru certification process which will be described in the manual.
So if you have any requests, found any bugs, feel free to contact us via any of available methods.
Version 1.60 was released + matches
Woh, this was one full week of updates both page and application. First of all we have released public version of match centre available at the top nav menu.
We have now improved the functionality and the communication from the website back to your UAC2 client.
We have now introduced click-able links (

). These will allow you to pull up UAC2 searches and screenshots straight from the website.
We will continue to extend these url links so that in the future you can place links around your website to automatically setup and configure UAC2 to start for a matchID and that's just one of our ideas.
Go forth and give what we have so far a try and as always pop us a message on the forums should you have an ideas, opinions, thoughts or questions.
Thirdly UAC2 has now got a new update system which will now only patch the files required for updates. This will speed up your updates and make it super easy to update your UAC2, with the installer only required for large updates or .
There has been several more feature and bug fixes (read change log for full details).
All major functions are now in place and so is the feature set. We hope that end of BETA testing will be upon us in about 2-3 weeks top.
PS: We apologize for the short time period where you were unable to login, it was caused by new script in place. The new update system has seen us update some of security procedures and these changes haven't gone as smoothly as possible.
All issues with logging in have now been resolved.

As you have may noticed the match id interface was released and it was tweaked so it will give you and admins ease of use and all needed informations. See examples in forum post here.
Also "about UAC2 section was created which tracks the history of UAC and basic info about how it works plus informations about us the developers see here.
Few changes were done on the side of the AC mainly things that will help us to provide more tech support like error report system and log system.
From my point of fiew the BETA will be closed soon and the application is almost good as finished.

Match pages - Soft Roll Out
Hey guys,
This has been a long time coming I know. I have done a soft roll out of the matchID pages. You can use and see the matchID page via the links within a users profile, a cheater record or by using the search box.
These pages give you a round of up of all the players in a particular matchID, it will inform you of Cheaters, people that have maybe attempted to bypass the definition file checks, screenshot records and any recorded errors reports that might help explain/prove you had issues.
Think of it as your first/second stop after a match, where you can check the pages for any obvious signs of fowl play, you can then move on from there and check users screenshots to ensure there aren't any cheats there.
I'm still open and looking for some suggestions, these matchID pages are designed for you so if you need/want some level of information that's not there or want it simplified please let me know on my forum post.
The next items on my to do are to start building up the extra features and power for admins, this will allow them to see more detailed information and even get automated reports for any definition files they wish to monitor. This is in high demand from leagues so they have the ability to help you guys out in their league/tournament matches.
Rest assured this is not the end to the normal user set, the plan has always been to enpower our members with the detailed information and as such I will continue to roll out new items for everyone and not just admins.
Certainly some of the key ideas I plan to roll out to have automatic time zone detection and correction to times (so you never have to get confused with time frames), multiple languages and translations on the website, an API system for any advanced users so they can pull the information out of he pages and into their own websites , applications or even into games. More profile customisation and the ability to have generated user pics you can use around. Those are only some of our future plans, so stay tuned.
News summary of 5th week
Only 2 updates in this week ?
The main work is almost done and all features are nearly implemented. Versions 1.26-7 did include only few new features. Still they will give every admin more power and proof material, such as minimized game windows etc.
Beta testing is nearly over and except the "BSOG" Black Screen Of Game (clic here for more info) issue there are none that have any impact on functionality.
Also i want to encourage league admins to start to use UAC2Wizard which is included in the UAC2 installation (see start menu) , and do not forget that you can always contact me for any questions via email (support@uac2.com) or ICQ : 294299580. News summary of 3 weeks
We were bussy this 3 weeks , removed many bugs and made lots of new features that are already included in the application but not seen on the web page yet.
Currenly we are working on match id interface, error report interface, and page where will be posted legitimate checksum's of definition files.
Also there was cheater removed from the list of cheaters : elbarto6666 who was framed as cheater by wrong settings of old version of swat4.def file. Good that we check every cheater scan results. We have contacted the creator of the DEF file and the issue is already resolved and we do not expect any other injustly framed cheaters. And also exact oposite has happened, some cheaters were not input to the cheaters list, but the cheats were detected, this will be resolved shortly. This is why we are still in BETA stage, so we can find and eliminate as many bugs as possible.

Since now the beta testing shows us really good results, and also we received few email request for functions and game requests. Here are some updates for you:
Added DEF files for games : COD4, Left4Dead, BF2, BF2142.
Next supported games will be CS, CS-source and Americas Army.
Flag system now works, so if there are screenshots that contain any personal data, you may request to "hide" them from public, this will be done instantly and later these screens will be additionally checked for cheats by admins.
Also there will be a forum which will use the same UAC2 account so you do not have to create any new accounts.
There are still few issues to be resolved with application, and also many things to do around the pages. More updates next week ...

UAC2 is the second attempt at the Universal Anti-Cheat you have come to love/hate for Swat4.
We have rebuilt the entire system from the ground up again, taking into account the lessons we learnt from UAC4Swat.
We now feature better security, more reliability, faster performance, less in-game lag and best of all any multiplayer game can be protected
Ontop of our major focus around security and ensuring screenshots are 100% accurate and real, we have developed a tool which allows you the responsible community member/league to develop definition files that will give you complete control of catching cheaters.
This feature gives you the power to say which cheats are not allowed and allows you the power to add new cheats to your definition file.
How does this definition file system work?
It works in 2 stages, first a community leader (eg. Admin for Swat-Report.net), develops and makes a definition file which protects against a certain cheats.
Players are then instructed/encouraged to download and use that definition file whenever playing for that league/competition/event.
Another example a league admin would create the definition file, adding in the cheats they find and protecting against them in their game of choice.
The league admin will then within their rules, encouraging users to download and install the definition file they made.
Players then install that definition file and use that file for when they play in official matches for that chosen league.
All this gives you the power to make UAC as good as you want to!
So how do I get started?
Download & Install UAC2
Launch UAC2
Click The "Create an Account" button to create your account
Enter in the account details you want and press "Register".
IMPORTANT - Check your email, you will have an email from us regarding your registeration.
You must use that link and confirm your email address before you can use UAC.
Enter your newly created account details into the login box and push "Login".
You should now be able move to the "Play" Mode.
This is where you go when you want to start up UAC.
You should now be able move to the "Screens" Mode.
This is where you go browse and view yours and other players screenshots.
